Who We Are
People frequently ask us for more information about who we are because
they are amazed at the life-changing biblical truths they discover when
exploring the BibleUniverse. Sadly, it is true, many self-proclaimed Christian
faiths in the world today don't teach the divinity of Jesus. Still other
sects don't accept the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God. The list
of dangerous and aberrant cult teachings is endless, and a seeker of Bible
knowledge and truth should not subject themselves to people or organizations
that don't adhere to solid Bible doctrine. Therefore, we submit the following
so that you can understand our biblical stance.
BibleUniverse.com is a Web site designed for both Christians and non-Christians;
it will benefit members of every Christian denomination, and it will help
seeking non-Christians learn more about the Bible.
What We Believe
We believe in the fundamental teachings of the Bible and Christianity. Our
core beliefs can be summarized in the following:
- The Bible is God's inspired Word. It is the only rule of faith and
practice for Christians.
- Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, and He alone is humanity's
Savior.
- Salvation comes as a free gift of grace through the blood that Jesus
shed. He paid the penalty for our sins so that we might have the gift
of His pure life.
- God calls believers to accept Christ not only as their Savior from
sin, but also as the Lord and ruler of their lives. The Holy Bible provides
lifestyle principles for the Christian so that we can rightly represent
Him.
- Bible prophecy reveals that we are living in the last days and that
Jesus will return soon.
As you can see, we do have definite convictions of truth and duty. We also
have church preferences based on what we believe the Bible teaches. However,
we also believe that God's family is large and that His children are spread
among all denominations. He even has honest seekers outside of Christianity.
Therefore, our purpose is to open the Bible to everyone's understanding-regardless
of religion, race, nationality, or gender. We take seriously the commission
to "Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe
all things whatsoever I have commanded you" (Matthew 28:19).
The Holy Spirit convicts people of what is truth, and He will lead them
to fellowship and worship as He chooses (John 16:13). Our mission is simply
to be faithful to our calling to preach and teach the truths of God's Word.
We leave to the Holy Spirit to guide each person from his or her own understanding
of the Bible on where to fellowship.
Our Pledge to You
Your convictions will always be respected when you study with us. We will
never force or insist that you take our word for what the Bible teaches.
Indeed, we want you to learn how to study the Bible so you can come to your
own conclusions. This is why we provide extensive references to Bible texts
throughout our material; this allows you, the reader, to look it up in your
own Bible. We will never use manipulative techniques to get you to believe
as we do.We are committed to reach as many people as
we can with the everlasting Gospel before Jesus returns. If God puts
a desire in your heart to help us spread His end-time message, you may contact
us via e-mail. We will not beg, pressure, or otherwise manipulate anyone
for money.
Our position is simple: We respect you as a person and as a free moral agent.
You have a good mind that you can use to study the Bible. The Holy Spirit
will be faithful to the promise to guide you into all truth. And He will
make it plain to your mind and spirit what He wants you to do. If we can
be of some assistance in helping you along the straight and narrow path
that leads to everlasting life, then we will be satisfied that we have fulfilled
our mission. |
